이은희의 2채널 영상 작품은 ‘생체역학적인 연구’를 한다는 가정하에 정상 보행의 움직임을 색다른 각도로 관찰한다. 정상성이란 그 범주의 기준이 어디에 잡혀있는가에 달려있으며, 때때로 그 기준은 모호하고도 기이하다. 작가는 인간의 신체와 노동 사이를 연결하는 기술과 이를 둘러싼 사회구조에 대해 꾸준하게 탐구해 왔으며, 특히 재활기술이 연구, 생산, 활용되는 과정 속에서 인간과 기술 사이의 구조적 속성을 작품을 통해 추적해 왔다.

Eunhee Lee’s two-channel video work observes normal walking movements from a different angle under the assumption that ‘biomechanical research’ is being conducted. Normality depends on standardization and categorization, yet sometimes the standards can be ambiguous and bizarre. Lee has been exploring the technology that connects the human body and labor and the social structure surrounding it through her work.
